We don't. We can't.
When a loved one dies, we shatter into innumerable pieces, and then, over time, we rebuild ourselves into something loosely resembling our old selves, but with parts missing, and made up of new things.
Eventually we create a version of ourselves that is able to move and survive in the world without the one we've lost, to varying degrees. But we never return to who we were.

Lovely to see you blogging again, Emma. I started blogging again, shortly after lockdown began and have been at least weekly ever since.
The blogs are now tied to my podcasts, but to be honest, the posts rarely have much to do with them and can easily be read without reference to them.

Looking forward to following your writings again :)

Kim xKim Ayreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02656677501116622953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-427118246454500794.post-54961038220821328782020-09-10T12:49:44.939+01:002020-09-10T12:49:44.939+01:00Your mum would be so happy with how you are coping...Your mum would be so happy with how you are coping...lovely words Emma, thank you for sharing with us..Love you, Zara xx
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05677393007838348744noreply@blogger.com
