Ringing in Autumn

I love jewellery.  All types.  Any type.

I especially love bold, big jewellery.  Chandelier drop earrings.  Rows of plain silver bangles.  Honking great rings.

Yep.  I especially like rings.  They're my favourite piece of jewellery to make.  And to wear.

I like seeing what rings other people are wearing.  I like browsing in shop windows admiring different ring designs.  I really like it when the display lights cast that magic glow across gemstones that makes them twinkle.  It makes me smile.

When it comes to rings, it's not about owning a big ole rock.  It's just that I like hands.  I think hands are beautiful.  Very creative. Quietly expressive.  And I like rings.  So when you put the two together it's a winning combination.

I recently came across this book...

...And thought I'd gone to jewellery heaven.

Take a peek...

Gorgoeus.

I'm currently working on some new rings designs.  As soon as they're finished, I'll post some pictures.

Do you have a favourite type or piece of jewellery?

  3. I actually love rings too. I find hands intriguing and expressive of the human condition and rings are lovely. Who ever gets annoyed at someone staring at your hands? But if it's your ears or neck...
I do like necklaces too, but with rings there is more option in material and design I think.

  4. Wow, looks like there are some great rings. I think I like necklaces best, though I have started to like brooches too.

I have left something on my blog for you, if you get a chance to check it out :) xx

  6. I'm excited to share this with you. Normally, I'm not big into jewelry but always enjoy it on others.

So my makeup artist/totally cool friend, Donna, came over last month and she gave me this awesome cross, which I wear every day and this watch- because she says, "The new Marilisa needs to know what time it is."

Additonally, she gave me this big, black bangle bracelet that says, "Everything seems impossible until it's done" in cursive. Isn't that SO neat?
The piece is designed by Jessica Kagan Cushan.

  7. Helloooooo! Yes I have a fave type of jewellery - it's big long clanking necklaces - preferably with wooden beads on. And silver bits. And hoops. And other beads. Yes, lots of things!

I have about 6 or 7 and sometimes wear them all at once, although I do tend to sound like a gaoler if I do; clanking along as though I have a bunch of keys around my neck!

One particular one which has all of the above-mentioned accoutrements, and shells to boot, has actually attracted comment from strangers. It's my fave one!!!!
