Beautiful Words

I'm wearing a vintage sequinned top today.  With my slippers.  Just cos.

Do you love dressing up too?

P.S.  Just to reassure you, I'm wearing other bits and pieces to complete the outfit.  I'm not sitting shivering in a sequinned top, slippers and nowt else.

  1. I LOVE the chance to dress up,as most of the time I'm in my old dog walking clothes!
You can't beat a bit of sequins and glitter. :0)

  2. the last time I wore a sequin top was to cheer myself up just after having some surgery under my arm, which limited arm movement.

After about an hour I started to get cold and decided to change, trying to take the top off, over my head.

Somehow my bad arm got jammed up in the air outside the top and my good arm got stuck inside the garment (no, I hadn't been drinking but I could blame it on the anaesthetic?) at which time I started to panic a bit!

This was how the popstman found me when he rang the bell for me to sign for a delivery, and no, I've never managed to look him in the face since!

  3. I keep telling people who I photograph, that the face is the ultimate dressing up box. Once you realise this, you need never hate having your photo taken again :)

  4. Hi Emma,

Like you I enjoy dressing up too and wearing vintage clothes. I am always on the lookout for something special. Now and then I find something pretty at our local flea market or on Ebay.

Would have loved to see your top :-)!

    Happy week!

  5. Completely agree, Em. My wardrobe is a riot of colour and impractical dresses. Who wants to wear fleece when there's lurex and sequins? x

  7. So very true (at least for me, still love dress up)!

I love the sparkly tops this season - nothing like a little 'bling' to get you in the holiday mood. I am sure you looked ravishing!

    Also...

Thank you for your kind words of sympathy. It has been a rough couple of weeks, but I am so grateful for the kindness and love I have felt from my blogging buddies. Your concern touched me deeply.

Thank you. I hope you have a great Holiday week.

    hug,

  8. Oh yes! I rarely dress 'sensibly' or for my 'age' (46!!) Usually pink, and always flowers.

  9. Yep, dress up any day of the week, just because you can, that's what I reckon! I often get comments about being "dressed up" (which I think is meant to imply overdressed) to which I smile sweetly and say "Thank you!"
Yay!! to sequins and slippers! xxxxx
