Hats For Cats: Fun Or Wanton Animal Abuse?

I know it's not ok to abuse my pets.  I know it's not good to take away their dignity and annoy them for my own pleasure.  But honestly, if I could get either Eric or Ernie to don one of these saucy beauties at a jaunty angle, without taking my face off, or leaving an unsavoury protest in my bed as revenge, I would so do it.  I'd be all over the Etsy shop "To Scarborough Fair" like a woman who's been off carbs for 6 months and gets offered a belgian bun . Wait.  That was me.

To Scarborough Fair hats for cats originally seen on Etsy and The Dainty Squid

  1. Holy cow, those pics are hilarious Emma. And whatever that sweet mound of dough is that you are eating looks like heaven. ;)

  3. Oh my goodness......I sooooo wish my cats would tolerate me accessorising them! That is one patient cat in the pics. I don't think I'd have much skin left if I tried, but I would have fun trying wouldn't I?! Errrrr.........

Thank you ever so much for your lovely comment on my blog. It really means a lot to me :)

Hope you have a lovely weekend :)

  4. Bloody brilliant! True cat abuse is when me and my brother put a dresson our cat. Not cool.My mum let us!
No, this is pure sophistication for cats. A little hat on the head and hey presto! They become sophisticated, urbane and debonair. I love it! I love the last pic of you too,you cheeky thing! xxx

  5. I don't think I' ve ever met a cat that would allow itself to be dressed up. However, I've met several people who would happily dive into a belgian bun after 6 months carb-free...

  12. I love 'em, Em! I've tried dressing our moggies up in my vintage scarves but they look at me in disgust, some cats just don't appreciate style. x

  16. Love these cat photos, they remind me of a website I used to howl with laughter at called Cat Buckaroo or it may have been Stuff On My Cat. ( I will see if it still exists, hold on a mo...)Cat Buckaroo seems to be gone and Stuff On my Cat is all over the place. Funny though and I tried it once on my own (late) cat who was a mentalist. I managed to get quite a few things on her and she didn't bite or scratch me.
I might try it on my dog, although he is also a bit highly strung!

  18. I don't know how they got the cats to hold still with a hat on. My cats would never stand for it not one minute.
